Everyone has had moments in their life that they consider to be their best. However, picking the greatest moment is not always easy. For some, it’s the birth of a child. Or perhaps the completion of some great task such as earning a college degree. Others would say that meeting that special someone or soul mate ranks as the greatest moment. Someone else’s greatest moment might be a vacation to some beautiful place. Hearing someone you admire say something good about you is a great moment for some. Often for other people, it’s just having done some stupid thing with their friends that they remember most.

Whatever we consider to be our greatest moment, we need to be grateful for it. Even the less than greatest moments also should be appreciated because life is something to be enjoyed not just endured. Like a river, our lives seem to twist and turn, rise and fall at many points along the way. Were it not for those special moments, many of us might feel that somehow life is not what we hoped it would be. None of us knows the future but for most there are still even greater moments to come in the days ahead. Anthony C. LoBaido, who writes for World Net Daily said, “And since the future is merely a set of probabilities based on what we do today – the sum of our thoughts, habits, goals and actions – we don’t have to live in fear of what may lay around the next bend in the road. We can remember that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind.” We can change our bad habits, fix the mistakes of the past and re-inject ourselves into the plan God has for each of our lives. Remember, you can’t keep a good man – or woman – down.”
